Ventrilo Server

I have a Ventrilo server set up for everyone in the clan. Anyone can get on and anytime. This is a talking system that uses microphones. (You don't have to have a microphone to join, its even fun to listen to people talk.)
Here is the link to download it: http://www.ventrilo.com/
Step 1: Click the Download button to the left of the site.
Step 2: Choose the newest version for the type of computer you have.
Step 3: Agree to the terms of use.
Step 4: Now download =D.
Step 5: When you pull up Ventrilo go to the User Name and click the Arrow to the right. Hit New and type in your game-name/etc. Hit OK.
Step 6: Go to Server next. Hit New and type the name of the server (you can name it what ever you want it to be). In the "Hostname or IP" type in "nyc-ventrilo.nuclearfallout.net". Next in the "Port number" type in "23150". For "Password" you leave blank. Hit OK.
Step 7: Now your done. Just hit "Connect" and your ready to speak to anyone.

Haha, yes even while you are in-game you can talk to people with a microphone. ex: Someone in vent asks you a question. "Hey DaRealRocky, what server are you in?" "Im in ^$^ Clan Server." You just keybind a key on your keyboard to let you talk or you can set it up so u don't have to, you just talk. Im on it 24/7 so you will always see me and be able to talk to me there. Even if im away from the computer there are still some friends of mine that are on it more then i am you can talk to.

We need to get everyone on the Ventrilo Server. Its ALOT easier then typing and it helps in clan matches really well. (Telling your teammate where someone is) Plus its alot of fun and you get to know your clanmates really well.

i cant right now i got no microphone i am using a computer that does not have that. so i old school i will get the system down some time this year when i get new computer

Ok I thought this looked like a good idea so I followed the instructions above, now i have it installed and when oen I see a couple of ^$^ in list but now what how the frig do i use it lol....

Please let me know what I need to do to use this as it sounds like a great idea Very Happy

I strongly reccomend the rest of you look into this, the possabilities and advantages during game play are excellent!!!

Would make it great to get to know each other and for stratergy.

I think more of you need to try to get on more often. Gears and I are on it alot, im on it 24/7, and its helped us both alot in clan matches. If you have any more questions please PM me or just post here. My microphone is pretty much broken now so as soon as you connect go into Chat on the right side of the Ventrilo window.

Yeah you can have whatever type of mic you want it just has to work. Me and Gear and now sorta AimTrgrDed have to put up with Valentines shitty mic. And if you wanna get a mic like Valentine it''ll only cost like 5 bucks.

I already installed ventrilo, but i can't speak because spywaredoctor was blocking when i press a key to talk. Now I think thats working but didnt have a chance to test it. Is there any improvements betwen Jack Mic and a USB mic?

jack mics have a better quality with Sound and Mic because they are most of the time Headsets, not just like a desktop mic.

and i would get on vent more but i dont really see the point unless im needed.

also on your spyware doctor not allowing you to talk or whatever.

Click setup, and change the hotkey to something easier then the CTRL key
mines set at the Middle scroll button on the mouse, or Mouse 3
it doesnt mess with anything in game or outside the game and is easily reachable.
